Mini Games is an exclusive feature within Tipico Sportsbook, designed to give users a unique and entertaining gaming experience while engaging with the platform. As part of Tipico's rewards initiative, Mini Games serves as a bridge between Tipico Sportsbook and Casino, seamlessly introducing users to the casino experience. While waiting for sports bets to settle, users can enjoy exclusive games that enhance their journey without disrupting the flow, making the platform more engaging and fun.
Design Objective
How might we introduce users to the Tipico Casino experience without interrupting their engagement with the sportsbook or disrupting their focus on live games?
Solution
- Implement a movable floating button, similar to floating iOS videos or chatbots, allowing users to reposition it as needed for a seamless experience.
- Maintain consistency by placing the exit button for Mini Games in the same location as the Mini Games handle (on Sportsbook screen).
- Design games to be simple yet versatile, enabling users to switch between multiple games within the same feature effortlessly.
- Preserve cache to ensure users remain on their current sportsbook page without interruptions to their sports betting experience.
Outcome
Success was evident through the significant increase in profits generated from user interactions and bets placed on Mini Games Blackjack alone. The spike in revenue highlighted the effectiveness of effortlessly introducing users to the casino experience, proving the success of the cross-sell strategy.
